Jeff was born in Toronto, Ontario. After moving with his family to Winnipeg, he played AAA hockey in Winnipeg, Manitoba for 5 years followed by 4 years of Junior hockey also in Winnipeg.
Following his playing days Jeff began coaching with the Central Plains Capitals
of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League where he coached for two seasons. That
was followed by 3 seasons with the Don Mills Flyers of the Greater Toronto
Hockey League (AAA Level) where he coached at the Squirt and PeeWee levels.
Jeff relocated to Dallas as manager of the newly opened Grapevine Mills Ice
Rink. There he was instrumental in the creation and growth of the Lone Star
Wolves Travel Hockey organization until its merger with the Alliance Bulldogs.
During this time, Jeff coached squirt through midget levels with the Lone Star
Wolves for six seasons. After the merger with Alliance, Jeff coached for two
seasons at the 16U AA and Prep levels.
In the 2008-09 season Jeff coached his Dallas Stars 16U Prep team through three
tournament championships, a Texas State championship and second place in the
Rocky Mountain District. This past season Jeff coached his Dallas Ice Jet 18UAA
team to a USA Hockey Tier II 18 and Under 2A National Championship.
